Conflict Resolution WorkshopConflict is a natural part of daily life but it can also be an opportunity for connection, growth, and understanding. Join us for a parent education workshop designed to equip caregivers with practical tools to navigate conflict with more confidence and less stress.
What you’ll learn:In this interactive session, you’ll gain tools to:
Practice active listening
Manage intense emotions
Shift from reactive to constructive communication
Support children through conflict in a calm, grounded way
Build a more connected and respectful home environment
About the workshop:This workshop is hands-on and engaging, with activities and real-life applications designed to help you immediately put these tools into practice.
Presenters:
Pearl GibbonsRetired School Counselor with 20+ years of experience working with students, parents, and educators. Pearl began her career as a K–8 teacher before transitioning into counseling, where she specialized in conflict resolution and family support. She continues to share her expertise through volunteer work and community education.
Carol Seidenkranz, LICSWSchool Social Worker at Oak Hill with over 40 years of experience across school systems and residential treatment settings. Carol brings deep expertise in supporting children and families through emotional and behavioral challenges, with a focus on practical, compassionate solutions.

Ways to Get Involved
Sign up for a Volunteer Opportunity
Listed here is the SignUp Genius with a list of the 2025/2026 OHMCS Parent Association events and projects. Please sign up to express interest in volunteering. The event lead will reach out via email closer to the event to confirm availability and provide details.
Join a Meeting or Join the PA in a Leadership Role
The PA meets on the last Monday of the month from 7-8PM at various locations near the school. Join a meeting to meet new people, explore opportunities to support, and have your voice heard.
Offer to Lead a Fundraiser or Event
The PA is always happy to hear ideas for fundraising and support with communications, volunteer staffing, and event coordination. Join a PA meeting or reach out to pa@ohmcs.org if you’ve got a great idea!
Become a Classroom Parent
Class parents support classroom connection by planning various events throughout the school year, and being a resource for new families to Oak Hill. Each year, one or two parents are needed to volunteer for these roles.
